Rublev Italian Burnt Sienna is a semi-transparent reddish-brown natural earth colour with high tinting strength and a medium-grain texture. Like most Rublev Oil Colours, it brushes long in the direction of the stroke, making it excellent for expressive mark-making, warm glazing, and building luminous shadows.

Made from natural iron oxide (Fe2O3) and ground in linseed oil with no additives, this burnt sienna delivers rich, warm undertones that are perfect for portrait work, warm underpainting, terracotta notes, and classic landscape mixtures. Use it to deepen oranges and reds, warm neutrals, or create clean darks when paired with blues. Mixed with titanium white, it produces glowing salmon, warm peach, and earthy rose tints that stay stable over time.
