Rublev Mixing White is a bright, semi-opaque white designed for making clean, controllable tints in oil paint. Made with titanium white (PW6) and barite (PW22) in a pure linseed oil binder, it delivers high tinting strength without the handling and safety concerns of lead-based whites.

This white is ideal when you want to lighten colours while keeping mixtures balanced and predictable. The barite helps moderate the strength and texture of titanium dioxide, producing a smooth, versatile mixing white that is especially useful for portrait and landscape tints, pastel-like highlights, and value studies where you want a bright white that stays stable and consistent.

Mixing White is lightfast (ASTM I) and permanent, making it suitable for professional oil painting and studio practice. Because Rublev Colours Artist Oils contain no waxes or stabilizers, slight separation of pigment and oil can occur naturally. If this happens, simply knead the tube before use.
