Ceracolors Water-Soluble Paint 50ml - S4 Cadmium Yellow Light is a professional beeswax-based paint that delivers brilliant, opaque colour with the convenience of water-based handling. Cadmium Yellow Light (PY 35) is a clear, pale yellow that avoids the usual citric (greenish) cast in its masstone, yet it carries a gentle green bias in mixtures. That makes it an excellent mixing yellow for fresh spring greens, high-key landscape colour, luminous highlights, and clean pastel tints.

Made from pharmaceutical-grade beeswax blended with naturally derived waxes, Ceracolors supports encaustic and wax painting techniques without requiring heated tools, electricity, or specialist equipment. Use it straight from the tube for dense coverage and sculptable impasto marks, or thin with water for softer passages and watercolour-like washes. Once dry, you can heat set and fuse with a hair dryer, heat gun, or pastry torch to increase durability and wet scrub resistance and to further manipulate the wax surface.

Ceracolors dries in two stages: it becomes touch-dry quickly as water evaporates, then continues curing as wax crystals coalesce over days or weeks depending on thickness. During the early stage you can reopen areas with a damp brush for blending. Best on rigid supports such as wood panels, but also suitable on canvas and paper, and can be applied to surfaces like ceramics, glass, metal, or plastic. Clean up easily with soap and water, and remove dried paint with household ammonia.
