Chroma Archival Texture Gel Medium is a textured variation of Smooth Gel Medium, formulated with ceramic beads to create a gritty, tactile surface. It mixes into oil colour smoothly, then firms up on the painting to hold raised brushmarks and add a crust-like texture that brings extra aesthetic interest to impasto work.

Because it moves easily while mixing and then sets up on the surface, this gel helps you control how colours interact. It can keep oil colours more separate for lively wet-on-wet effects, or remain blendable for wet-in-wet passages depending on how you work and how much medium you add.
